VENUS RETROGRADE STARTS TODAY: 

RETHINKING RELATIONSHIPS, MONEY AND VALUES

Starting today, March 6th, through April 17^th, we’re in Venus retrograde, a time when we’re rethinking all types of relationships and money matters, plus our values and how much we value ourselves. How much we value ourselves is what ties this all together.

This can be a tough period financially, as the velocity of money (how fast it changes hands) tends to slow down, especially at the beginning and the end of the period. Fortunately, we have a good cycle going for money right now which shows up in all those Green $s we're seeing (Venus sextile Jupiter). This is staying in range through March 16^th and it peaks again on March 11^th. So even though the money may be delayed a bit, there’s still some pretty good money to be made now through March 16^th. Keep the faith and go after it!

In addition, this cycle will also impact our national economic situation. Our stock market should keep going down, probably to 5000 and this is likely to happen over the next three or four weeks. By the end of March and mid-April, we could see earnest discussions begin related to the value of the U.S. dollar, and possibly we’ll hear talk about a new currency. What occurs related to this topic will largely depend on what happens at or near the Full Moon on March 10^th, (see the next article).  We'll probably see another major financial failure then and if so, there could be a push to change the US dollar to something backed partially by gold. That probably won't occur until September, but everything moves fast now, so it's hard to tell. 

 As a side-note about that, a Congressional Committee held a hearing recently with the Federal Reserve chairman, Ben Bernanke. It turns out that while Congress was debating a bailout for $787 billion, the Fed spent $10 TRILLION on the bailout without any approval from Congress. They don’t even have to ask permission to do this. This means we’re printing a LOT more money than even Congress was authorizing,  happen, which is very inflationary. Remember that the cycles for inflation will start showing up by the end of March and stay with us through December. With this kind of printing of money going on, we could see at least 10-20% inflation this year.

In terms of relationships, it’s common for relationships that aren’t working out to either fix themselves or split during Venus retrograde. This includes business alliances and partnerships, as well as personal and intimate ones. More separations and divorces are announced during this period than at any other time. What's key to notice about relationship changes is that it's nearly impossible to keep a relationship going when two people have different levels of consciousness. It's one of the primary reasons for separations now. 

A word to the wise: Venus retrograde is not a good time to sign contracts, UNLESS you’re redoing a contract, or replacing a vendor that couldn’t perform well enough for your needs. During Venus retrograde we’re rethinking our needs for all types of relationships and financial issues. Often we aren’t clear what those needs are until we’re done with the period. So if you can manage it, don’t sign important contracts until after April 17^th.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

Big stuff is up next week and even now we're in range of some major, unexpected events. The Sun is about to conjunct Uranus, the planet of sudden and unexpected changes, while it opposes Saturn, the planet representing structure, methods, processes and the traditional approach to things. In September we had a similar configuration, (Sun conjunct Saturn and opposite Uranus, with a Full Moon) and that's when Lehman Brothers and AIG failed, along with Washington Mutual, and Merrill Lynch. Next week we have this similar configuration with another humdinger of a Full Moon. We will probably see at least Citigroup delist from the stock market (last closing price was $1.02 per share), but there will no doubt be some surprises too. 

The Sun conjunct Uranus and opposite Saturn cycle is in range now through March 19^th and it peaks on March 12^th (only two days after the Full Moon). During this period leaders may be taking radical actions to solve old, longstanding problems. At the very least, some of these actions will feel like mini-quakes, since they will shake things up from the status quo and what’s traditionally expected. There may be some challenges from people who would prefer a more traditional approach, but due to their situation, they’re not in a position to negotiate.

Next Tues, March 10th, we have a Full Moon. What’s coming to light at this Full Moon is a major rebalancing act involving stocks and other investments. Sudden surprises are likely to appear within 2-3 days of the Full Moon, which may require new structures and solutions to rebalance the system. And what new structures would that be, you ask? Probably a currency that’s partially-backed by gold. This Full Moon will put some glaring light on the major issues we’re facing financially and how our Federal Reserve and the US government have contributed to this situation.

The good news about this Full Moon is that it has some underlying cycles which are unusual (very coherent septile and quintile configurations). These tend to be in the background, since they are often not utilized when we’re focused in less positive ways. But these cycles are strong enough to actually create something quite different. Typically they indicate great amounts of determination to succeed even in highly challenging situations, and the talent or abilities to do so. So even though very challenging situations could be presented to us, there are people with solutions available to solve them.

 On a more personal note, these energies generally generate a lot of extra electrical energy. To handle this better, get more exercise than usual. You may also experience mini-quakes in your personal life with these energies. Just remember that whatever was “lost” needed a major change. Help yourself through these changes by increasing your flexibility. The more you do physically to increase your flexibility, the more flexible your mind will become. Consider doing Tai Chi, Qigong, yoga, or other forms of exercise.

what’s ahead for the rest of the year. The chart for this time shows imminent and powerful transformation afoot for the USA and possibly our leadership. However, we’re not privy to what’s going on, as most of the changes are behind closed doors and unseen by the public. Nevertheless, unseen or not, powerful transformation for the USA is underway.

The areas that could be especially impacted by these transformations include our day to day work lives, our financial systems, and how the world perceives the USA. Spiritual leaders could also be impacted and possibly die, or some scandal about spiritual leaders could emerge.  Although a lot of changes are happening behind the scenes, don’t be surprised when they are announced. Watch the media for hints related to the changes which will be revealed at a later date.

Please keep in mind that even though our economic engines are on fire and the plane is descending rapidly, we're going to land this plane and we will be OK. We have an exceptional pilot at the helm. We probably won't land it at an airport, but we can all work together to safely land it and build something more sustainable. OK, so maybe we will lose our luggage, but that's a pretty small loss and we can handle it. Stay focused on the positive things you're creating and you'll be fine.

Friday, Feb 13th, I discussed Opening Our Hearts to New Types of Relationships. With Valentine’s Day afoot, I talked about how to create and grow love relationships in these transformative energies we’re in for the next few years. We’re all changing at a much faster pace than we have in the past. This creates new challenges and needs for our relationships.

Friday, Feb 6th, the topic was Planting the Seeds of Progress. We have some unusual energies coming up which are encouraging us to take risks and move forward with progressive ideas in new ways. I discussed some of the many tools available to assist us in doing this
