STAY ON YOUR HORSE!
OK, I know you’re going to tell me you don’t have a horse, <grin> but you know what I’m talking about. Now is the time when we’re getting pretty close to the Jupiter square Uranus cycle and unexpected challenges are occurring. If you’ve suddenly gotten some bad news, lost a major deal, a partner, job or discovered a serious health problem, don’t let the situation knock you off your horse. You probably haven’t realized it yet, but the Universe is bringing you a better situation. Stop focusing on what you lost and start looking for what the Universe is bringing you. It’s something better than what you had. Staying on your horse means you keep the faith that the Universe is leading you to a MUCH better place.
Remember the worm under the potted plant, subsisting on a tiny bit of dirt, doesn’t know there’s a better pile of abundant dirt. When we compare our consciousness with that of the Universe, we’re a lot like that worm. Most of the time, we don’t realize that something can be a great deal better than it is, so we’re not going to even look for a better situation. But the Universe knows better and since we won’t take the initiative, it picks us up and moves us to a better situation.
This cycle peaks next Monday, Jan 22nd, but it stays with us for most of the year and peaks twice more during the year. Expect the unexpected. We could all encounter a lot of surprises this year, including bizarre weather patterns (like the snow and ice we’re having in the NW), lightening or fire storms, volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, asteroids, or meteorites. Unusual accidents, like the train wreck that happened near Louisville KY this week, will occur more frequently. It may seem like an epidemic of strange occurrences. Regardless of what happens, remember your job is to stay on your horse and look for the better situation that the Universe has in mind for you.

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN, THURSDAY JANUARY 18TH:
Those of you who have read the page in your Guide about Moon phases (page 38) are probably rooting for a New Moon and new starts. But this New Moon is at 28 degrees 41 minutes Capricorn, the very end of the sign. This is just telling us that we already have a lot on our plates and we can’t really start something new in the next month. Oh you might start planning it, and head in that direction. But in general, there’s not enough time and energy left over after dealing with what’s already on your plate to make much progress. So be patient. (Capricorn LOVES patience.) We’ll see this again next month and again in March.
This New Moon for the USA shows a strong possibility for the stock market to change directions. Make sure you have stops on your stocks, or you change your bets to a different direction. It also looks like some financial illusions may burst. We’ll have to see how this plays out. In the markets. It will be interesting to see what happens to the value of the US dollar. Hopefully you’ve already bought some standard gold coins, like Gold Eagles, Buffaloes, Maple Leafs, etc.
