All of the eclipses this summer have the same common meaning, which is this: There’s a sudden need to reform old ideas or methods due to unexpected failures of existing systems, processes or beliefs. New methods and ideas are REQUIRED to deal with these events. Blockages could be violently and tragically removed. So let’s be sure we’re making some new choices this summer! WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE US DOLLAR? On July 2nd, National Public Radio reported a very interesting story. I would have expected to see this same story in both the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times out of the UK. But neither of them reported. it. After searching for why this occurred without getting any explanation, I decided to just bring this story to your attention without the usual confirmations I normally get. NPR is a reputable source of news, so I'm passing on this information. The story on July 2nd was about the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which decided to sell bonds for the first time in its existence. It chose to sell $70 billion in bonds, and $50 billion will go to China. Another $10 billion will go to Russia, leaving only $10 billion of these funds available to others. Now this might seem like a pretty inocuous story, but here's the kicker: The IMF is offering these bonds for sale, NOT in US dollars, but their own newly invented Special Drawing Rights. These SDRs will be made of a "basket" of US dollars, UK pounds, euros, and Japanese yen. This probably means each one will be weighted at 25% of the basket. China and Russia have been pushing the IMF to create a new world currency, and here you have the beginning of it. With the US' power being eclipsed or diminished by the July 21st solar eclipse, the issue is closer than people think. Although the papers talk about this as being something that will take years to develop, it's highly doubtful that there's that much time left before it MUST be available. The Federal Reserve is also getting eclipsed (diminished) by this Solar Eclipse, and it's headed to other major challenges later this fall (September, late October, November). This means our US dollar will undergo quite a bit of stress as we head into the fall. It might just be that the IMF will get a lot more demand for these Special Drawing Rights. All of that aside, I thought it was very strange that this story was not front and center in the Wall Street Journal nor the Financial Times. Neither was it buried on their inner pages.
