ICELAND'S BANKING FAILURE Did you notice that all of Iceland's banks were seized and closed (ie bankrupted) in a matter of two days last week, starting on October 7th? That was immediately followed by their currency, the krona, completely collapsing on the international markets. The krona no longer has any value at all in terms of trading it for any other currency. Icelanders are able to use it in their own country, but cannot buy anything from other countries with it. And of course, Iceland at this time has no banks. This has worldwide implications, most immediately for Britain and Europe, since these Iceland banks were the bank of choice for many major companies in Europe and Britain. This is now in the process of rippling through the rest of the global financial system. I bring this to your attention, because it follows the pattern that I mentioned in one of my previous email updates. I also sent out a link to this site in the Q4 newsletter. This is the impact of compounding, which this short video lesson explains at http://www.chrismartenson.com/crash-course/chapter-4-compounding-problem (I also recommend that you watch this entire course, all in short segments, so you will understand how all this is related to the economy, energy and the environment) Basically the example he gave from Dr Alfred Bartlett is that in a water-tight Fenway Park, if at NOON, a single drop of water is placed in the park, and each minute, the amount of water doubles, how long will it take to fill Fenway Park? The park will be full at 12:49 pm, but here's what's important to understand. At 12:44 pm on the same day, 93% of the park will still be empty. This is the problem. No one will even notice there's a problem until the last few moments. This is what Iceland experienced in its banking system failure. By the time anyone realized there was a problem, it was WAY too late to do anything about it. Iceland's banking system failure is likely to become the pattern for how these things will end up going down worldwide. An interesting piece of information that came from the web-bot guys who track changing linguistics on the internet, (Cliff High from Half Past Human, transcript of interview here http://www.projectcamelot.org/clif_high_half_past_human_26_sept_2008.html) showed that tension was building up September 22nd through October 6th. But beginning October 7th through mid-March, there was an emotional release (the example they gave of an emotional release was "Oh my god, the dog died!"). They also mentioned the emotional release for 911 lasted only 11 days. So whatever we're in the midst of is a much bigger deal than 911, since this release will last through the middle of March according to their data. Remember, whatever happens is happening so we can rebuild a sustainable economy and a sustainable world. I've been urging you to take prudent steps for a long time. Hopefully you are ready for whatever happens and you will be able to remain calm throughout it. We are remodeling, and you are watching the part where we take down the walls so we can rewire and replumb the economy. I know it doesn't look too good now, but remember the long-term goal: sustainability. If we can stay in our hearts and use our intuition through this process, we will all be fine. ______________________________________ LAST WEEKS MARKET FAILURES Before I discuss the stock market, I first want to mention a major market failure that happened right before that. The commercial paper market lost over $200 billion and failed. That meant that large companies which typically use this market to cover cash shortages for payroll and other operation expenses could not get loans. So the Fed stepped in to cover loans for the commercial paper market, since that market was frozen. This means the Fed will make loans to thousands of large companies (non-financial companies), as well as to banks, and investment firms. This occurred in the midst of a cycle (Sun square Jupiter) when we all had a tendency to over-reach and over-extend ourselves. I am sure this will happen for the Fed too. It may not happen this week, though it could at the rate things are changing. But astrologically it seems more likely to happen in late November or early December, when cycles of over-extension in the Fed's chart become apparent at the same time that it's under pressure to transform. When the Fed becomes over-extended, that's the most likely time we may see a banking system shut down, due to not enough liquidity to balance the system. This could change and happen sooner if the G7 decides to have an international "banking holiday". It's always a good idea to have enough cash on hand to pay for a week's expenses. Our Stock Market:
On October 9th, we had the one year anniversary of the market's high, when the Dow reached 14,164 on October 9, 2007. The irony that the market dropped to more than 40% lower one year later seems unbelievable. I'm sure all of you are wondering where the bottom is. I heard Martin Weiss predict the bottom of the Dow at 7200. Other people have called to tell me 5500. Still others say it will be 2000. The truth is that the bottom will be whatever we create collectively with our fear. If you want the markets to stabilize, you need torelease your fear and hold energy for the markets to stabilize. As you release your fear, energetically this gets added to the collective consciousness and then others can release their fear too. As more people release their fears, the markets will stabilize. The sooner we do this, the sooner it will happen. Everything gets created at the energetic level first, including the stock market. It's likely that we will see the stock markets stabilze from October 26th through November 23rd, when Jupiter sextiles Uranus while it trines Saturn. But a lot can happen in the meantime. Derivatives Without a doubt we're going to see the derivatives markets fail , and probably just as quickly as we saw Iceland's banking system collapse, and with the same amount of warning (very little). We don't know when this will happen precisely, since all these derivatives have different "birth" dates and it's hard to know when the lynch pin will get pulled. Maybe they will survive through the end of this year, but Pluto in Capricorn starts Nov 26th and any time after that, this more probable. At some point though, ( Dec, Jan or Feb), trillions and trillions of dollars of derivatives will crash (which were only backed by only billions of dollars to begin with), along with the banks, investment firms, and hedge funds that own them. Whenever this happens, hopefully you will not be in the stock markets, and you will remember not to go into fear as it occurs. These things are failing because it's the natural end of a system that is unsustainable. Even the Federal Reserve (based on it's astrological chart and the cycles it's receiving now through 2009) will undergo a tremendous change (probably either nationalizing or abolishing it). In fact, it's likely that ALL the private central banks in the world will undergo this situation. But that doesn't mean that we can't salvage solid companies and recreate a better banking and financial system. In fact, it's the only way to do that. We have to clean out the unsustainable structures before we can build something better. When you fully understand the banking system, you will understand that money has been created through creating debt, debt and more debt. This only works as long as there are more and more new people, companies or governments to take on debt. This is needed so that other people already in debt can have access to the money they need to pay interest and their principle back. But like most ponzi schemes, the natural end to this system is here. Everyone is too full of debt to bring in new lenders. So there's not enough new money to create the interest that's needed to pay the loans already made. This is another example of the compounding problem, which always fails very quickly. It's better to just allow the changes to occur now. Don't spend energy in judgment of the people who caused this or that to happen. That will only push money away from YOU.
