Michael has lectured internationally, had three books published, written hundreds of articles and letters, and appeared on many radio and television shows. He has gathered much recognition for his lectures and writings. Michael started his interest in astrology in August, 1969, out of an interest in the stock market and financial cycles. He studied diligently, and by March, 1971 had passed the rigorous AFA Professional Astrologer exam. His interest in astrology lies in basic astrological research. This includes determining where the power in a chart lies; the personal sensitive points; keywords; the use of midpoints, harmonics and arc-transforms; Uranian Astrology; fixed stars; and allied subjects. Michael has studied the astrology of relationships extensively and has made some significant break-throughs in using that art to assess compatibility between people. Michael often serves as a resource for other professional astrologers answering the questions that stump them. He has and maintains an extensive collection of hard to locate information on a wide variety of many subjects. Such information includes the math for calculating many things astrological; an astrological and astronomical glossary of terms; a listing of shadow points, eclipses, etc., over many centuries; an ephemeris of fixed star movement for over 500 fixed stars, nebulae, etc., ranging from 2000 BC to 2200 AD; data on which famous people have which aspects or harmonics in their natal charts; data on which famous people are strong or weak in a particular planetary combination; an extensive declination-only set of positions, aspects, stations and related material; a definitive rectification of the United State's chart; an extensive list of historical events with their dates and times; etc. He also has extensive notes and commentary on ancient astrological works, and a Vedic Glossary of Terms. Michael studied under Charles Emerson of New York City, and learned Uranian Astrology there. Michael spent several years working with Charles Emerson and other members of the New York area NCGR group. He still practices Uranian Astrology, but often reverts to 20th century western astrology when the Uranian system overwhelms him with information. Michael maintains an active client consulting practice. He lives in California north and west of Los Angeles, and not too far from the Pacific ocean. Michael offers Natal, Compatibility, Business, Electional and Rectification astrological work. Business consultations involve the use of astrology and other disciplines to ensure the smooth operation of a business. Electional Astrology is the art of selecting an appropriate time to begin an enterprise or action. Rectification involves working backwards from events in a person's life to obtain a valid birth time. His charge for consultation is $300. for the initial period, generally about an hour. Follow on times after the initial period are at the rate of $120. per hour. For more complicated and longer tasks Michael will estimate the time involved, negotiate an up front fixed fee, and then provide the results for the customer.
