OUR PARTNERSHIP DANCE  

Are you in the process of partnering with someone personally or in business? In late August, we started the cycle of Venus conjunct Mars, which is often associated with starting partnerships of all types. This cycle comes into range for the second time on September 14^th, peaks on October 3^rd, and stays in range through October 12^th. This relationship dance is likely to mirror your own process with a new or potential partner.

This dance started with the female being very competent (Venus in Libra) and in very good standing with the male, who is not as strong at the beginning of the dance (Mars in Libra). As it progresses though, the female becomes weaker (Venus in Scorpio) and the male becomes much stronger (Mars in Scorpio). Just after they get together the second time under this situation, the female rethinks the relationship and retreats for awhile. She then chases the male until May 23, 2011, when they finally get together a third time in a sign where she’s very strong again (Venus in Taurus). 

If you’re in the process of creating partnership with someone, it may not solidify until late next May, after you’ve both had a chance to come to a full understanding of what’s expected from each of you. So don't skip any steps with this relationship. Allow yourself enough time to develop the trust and respect that a healthy relationship requires. Don't jump into the fray too soon. For lovers, that means keep your pants on longer. For business partners, take longer to share your money. If you're already in a partnership that needs to end, but hasn't, don't entangle yourself in this one until you extricate yourself from the previous one. Give yourself the gift of time to build this relationship the right way. 

The right relationship pattern now is one that requires both partners to be strong in their own ways and also vulnerable in their own ways. Both partners need to be willing to give and receive. Take it a step at a time. Be with the other person in as many different settings as possible. Tackle different types of projects together. See how it unfolds over time and wait to commit yourself to the other person until you feel absolutely sure.

MAKE GOOD USE OF SEPTEMBER 16th - 18th

We have very few good days left this year for major new starts. If you need one, be sure to contact me right away for a date and time. Our last good dates are September 16 - 18th. So make good use of these dates. We have other good days, but they have retrogrades that prevent them from being appropriate for major new starts. And once we get into Venus retrograde, that period is much tougher for financial results.

GOLD UPDATE

Have you noticed that, as I mentioned  previously, that gold is taking off in the fall? Hopefully you bought this summer during one of its recent lows. As I write ths, the price of gold reached $1258 per ounce yesterday. You can expect that this is just the beginning. Although gold "takes a vacation" every summer, I expect to see it continue up the price ladder through next year. I now want to refer you to a very good article offered by Matterhorn Asset Management AG (yes out of Zurich). Check out their facts and their price targets for gold and see if you agree that even now buying gold is an extremely good investment. Here is their article, Gold Entering a Virtuous Circle

At least notice these facts at the top of their article:

• It is a fact that gold in US dollars (and many other currencies) has gone up 400% in eleven years or 16% per annum annualised.
• It is a fact that the US dollar has declined 80% in value against gold since 1999.
• It is a fact that the dollar and most other currencies have gone down 98-99% against gold since 1913 when the Federal Reserve Bank of New York was created.
• It is also a fact that the Dow Jones (and many world stock markets) has declined over 80% against gold since 1999.
• It is a fact that gold has made a new all time monthly closing high in dollars in August 2010.

This article was posted on September 6th and gold already has a new high. Also notice their potential price targets for gold of $6000, $7000 and $10,000 per ounce. But also notice the $31,000 per ounce number and why they offer this figure. Even if gold only doubled in the next year, you would still have a far better investment than any stock, bond or property could offer you. In our current economy, an investment in gold is still far safer than any other investment. Also notice that they recommend only purchasing real gold and not ETFs, gold held in a bank, futures or any other form of "paper gold". I also prefer real gold, though I am also sensitive to the challenges of having gold in a 401K or IRA.

Some of you have asked me about whether I believe the government will confiscate gold again. My answer to that is that we live in a different world now. Back then citizens respected and trusted the government. They actually cooperated with the confiscation. That world doesn't exist today and if the government tried to confiscate gold again, they would have a revolution on their hands. People would not tolerate such a thing.
