THOSE PERSONAL EARTHQUAKES

Have you noticed the recent spate of millionaires and billionaires who committed suicide as their financlal challenges became unbearable? Some lost billions in the Madhoff scheme. Others ended up in too much debt to swim out of it without significant losses. I'm bringing this to your attention so you can better grasp these earthquake energies I've been writing about. This is part of the Saturn opposite Uranus cycle, which will be with us on and off through most of 2010. So it's important to gain some clarity on how to handle this cycle. 

Are you experiencing stresses that are more intense than in the past? The key to working with this cycle is to give up your old ways of doing things. But to do that, you must first give up your old, limiting beliefs and fears that created your old patterns of thoughts, feelings and actions. And what do you suppose is behind all of that? It's usually some subconscious emotional decision we made when we were 2-5 years old. We don't even remember making that survival choice any more, but our subconscious does!

This cycle of Saturn opposite Uranus wants us to break through these old patterns and make the necessary changes for our lives to get better. But if we can't look beyond our old ways to new possibilities, we can end up committing the equivalent of suicide with accidents, unexpected serious illnesses, or even pulling the trigger as these men did. 

I cannot tell you how many clients I've worked with who have talked themselves into a box, without even knowing if any of it's true and what the alternatives are. We are constantly creating what is coming to us in our daily lives from what we FEEL and THINK every waking moment. If you want to create something different than the box you may have found yourself in, start by finding some way to have some fun or even just to laugh at your circumstances. I know that sounds nuts when you're in the middle of a crisis, but it works. It liberates you from the seriousness of the situation, so you can see other alternatives and make different choices. It also allows the Universe to respond to you by bringing you a better situation. 

Remember that when feel stressed and anxious, we are putting more stress and anxiety out into the world and the Universe sees that we want even MORE stress and anxiety. So it responds (appropriately according to the law of attraction that like attracts like) by sending us even more situations that make us feel more stress and anxiety. If you want to feel better, find 5 or 6 reasons to be grateful and start focusing on that for awhile. That will help you break the cycle, so you can start bringing some good things your way.

The key to thriving in this major period of change is to be FLEXIBLE. I've said it before: do ANYTHING that will move your body. Take a walk, stretch, do some yoga, tai chi, dance, practice touching your toes, etc. Anything you do to create flexibility in your body will also create mental flexibility, which is what we all need to get through these changes. This will allow new thoughts to come to you and provide you new options.

We can all get through these changes and come out in a more positive situation if we will only listen to our inner messages and start telling a new story so we stop recreating the same box for ourselves. Every time we repeat the story of "what is", we continue to recreate that same story for our future. To change the future, watch what you're saying now. Start a new thought that says, "Wouldn't it be lovely if XYZ occurred?" You can create something better for yourself and everyone else by focusing on these new stories. Just do it for two weeks and then evaluate if this new story is working. By then you'll be ready for an even more positive story!
