Beginning this Friday, January 22nd, we have an interesting set of energies coming into alignment (Sun conjunct Venus, first both trine Saturn and and then both opposite Mars).  First of all, we're already into some very good energy for meeting our responsibilities with grace and ease. We can use these energies (Sun conjunct Venus and both trine Saturn) for planning solid budgets, or for crafting excellent contracts or processes which spell out everyones' responsibilities. They're also good energies for project planning. Managers can use these energies to restructure and reorganize processes in such a way that everyone feels it's balanced and fair. That's the good news. These cycles are with us now through January 27th and they peak on January 21st - 23rd.

Then this Friday 22nd, we come gradually into alignment with another situation. This one challenges us to balance our relationships, especially our male-female relationships. This time we have Venus in Aquarius opposite Mars in Leo. This suggests that women want a guy who is able to appreciate her for her uniqueness, and  progressive ideas, not just for her body. She's looking for a guy who wants an equal.  Guys on the other hand want to share their passion and creativity with a woman, but they're still rethinking how to do this without dominating the scene. In business, this can also show up as issues related to different management styles. One of the challenges with this period is that it's easy to get angry, even for those cool-headed managers. Get some extra exercise so you can handle these energies better. 

Frequently these cycles (Sun and Venus opposite Mars) are also associated with not knowing how to get what you want or just not being able to get it. It can be challenging financially as well, suggesting that what you want may feel financially out of range, even if it isn't. Or a relationship that you feel is an important part of the solution may not be able to support your goals now. If you're willing to work with the Universe on this and let it bring you the solution, you'll get through this period much easier. These cycles peak January 26th - 29th, and they stay in range through February 3rd. 

After Haiti's earthquake and aftershock, it's fairly obvious that we're in the process of structural transformation. This is shown by the cycle of Saturn square Pluto. Of course our planet is a structure, so this transformational process can include earth changes, as well as reorganization of companies or governments, process changes, and even danger to buildings, bridges, and other forms of infrastructure. Back when Saturn was opposite Pluto, we had 9-11. Although I don't anticipate a large terrorist attack, it is within the range of possibilities. 

This cycle will peak for the second time on January 31st. It peaked for the first time back on November 15th. Whatever issues came up for you in late October through November (if any) can arise for you again as this second challenge occurs. It's also common to encounter power and control issues with this cycle. So any imbalance that's been created in terms of power or control will be reconsidered during this period. However, these issues do not resolve until later in the year. They will ease off after April 7th, when Saturn moves back into Virgo, but they return again in late July through early September. That's when things get really exciting in terms of major changes!

To use these energies well, look around your office or home and see what needs to be changed. Spend a day on a "clean-up mission". That could include cleaning out files you don't need, archiving or destroying old files. Get rid of any clutter too. Also look at how your office or home is organized. Could it be changed in any way to make it more efficient or to create a better process? Are there any structural changes needed, like a new roof, to the facility? These are all areas to consider. On a personal note, its a good time to get dental work done.

Can you believe it? Even balancing relationships is an inside job! It starts with balancing our own male and female energies, so we can deal well with others.
