IRAN'S ELECTION Too bad Iran wasn't listening to an astrologer! Iran's chart is full of surprising cycles, including the potential for riots (Uranus conjunct Iran's Mars), and the total Solar Eclipse on July 21st. This eclipse is exactly on their Jupiter, which represents their legal system, including their political system. If they don't respond in a new way to create a fair and real election, there will be some tragic and violent responses to this situation. Of course we've already seen some of this already. Iran is also one of the early situations exhibiting the challenges of Uranus square Pluto. These energies are revolutionary energies,similar to the energies of the mid-sixties (when Uranus was conjunct Pluto). They are in range now, but they're not as strong as they will be next July and August, when they get very intense briefly. Then we see them strong again from 2011 - 2017. These energies are basically suggesting that the old energies related to corruption, greed, pulling the wool over the eyes of the public, etc, are going out the door. The public has changed its consciousness enough to where it won't allow this to continue. Old structures, old processes, old regimes which embody corruption will not be allowed to continue. Either the changes must happen gracefully, or they will happen in a very disruptive and forceful way. The point to understand is that these old structures cannot continue indefinitely. They MUST change and change they will between now and 2017. Watch for these issues to show up worldwide. The USA gets a mega dose of these energies impacting its chart too, particularly from 2010 - 2015. For now, the good news this year is that Uranus is still in the sign of Pisces, a sign devoted to peace. So this year, we're likely to see peaceful demonstrations and petitions to get the attention of policymakers. This will not be the case next year. Next summer, in time for the Solstice (see below) Uranus will be in the sign of Aries, the sign associated with the military and also the fighting rebel. It's best to get the changes made now, in a time of relative peace and calm, compared to later. Iran is taking full advantage of these energies with hundreds of thousands of people are showing up daily to make their point in peaceful protests. In addition, we still have Chiron in Aquarius, which is very interested in creating fully functional and healed democracies. This means that Chiron wants to see fair elections. Especially now (while it's conjunct Jupiter and Neptune) Chiron wants to uphold the ideals of fair elections, and it's looking for the legal (Jupiter) and religious (Neptune) groups to make this a reality. But when fair elections are not forthcoming, that's when the demands for change occur (Uranus square Pluto). These will not be swept under the rug and forgotten. That era is past. The only way forward is through change by creating sustainable systems with integrity. It's certainly encouraging that the lead cleric in Iran has decided to investigate this situation. Pay attention to what happens. It's an early example of what's headed our way in the next few years. _____________________________________________________ OUR SUMMER SOLSTICE: THIS SATURDAY / SUNDAY I hope you're ready for an intense summer of permanent changes! That's what we're headed into for the whole summer. The Summer Solstice is technically when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer, signalling the beginning of the official summer season. This occurs at 10:47 PM on Satutrday June 20th for the Pacific time zone and at 1:47 AM on Sunday June 21st for the Eastern time zone. The Solstice chart for Washington DC (for the entire country) shows an intense focus on transforming old beliefs and ideas that no longer serve us (Sun conjunct Vesta, both opposite Pluto and all square to Uranus). These are ideas or beliefs we've been taught in schools, our communities, in our churches, in our legal system, and of course from our family and friends. This is basically telling us that transformation of our consciousness is the number one order of the day. It was our lack of consciousness that has allowed us to get ourselves into this economic predicatment, and now a higher level of consciousness is the only way to get through it. This Summer Solstice is a foreshadowing of what's to come next summer. By then, the Sun opposite Pluto square to Uranus will be much tighter and the "revolutionary energies" (like the ones you're now watching in Iran) will be much stronger. So pay attention to what's coming up, where the tensions are, and what occurs to resolve them this summer. If they're not resolved now, next summer will be even more intense for getting them resolved. This summer Uranus is in the sign of Pisces, so peaceful demonstrations are much more likely than next year, when Uranus will be in the sign of Aries. Next year the military are more likely to get involved and the protestors are likely to be even angrier. The good part of this Solstice chart is that Venus in Taurus is finally catching up to Mars (the woman chasing the guy) and they're both trine to Saturn in Virgo. This suggests that we're getting very clear about what we want and need and what the best ways are to go about getting it. What can we eliminate from our homes, offices and other spaces, so we can have room for something new to come in? How can we help others by doing this? How can we create security by having or needing less, and being able to share what we do have with others? There's still an intense energy for the public to get the wool pulled over their eyes without realizing it. Kind of like a magic act, whle your attention is diverted the money goes some place else. It's hard to find or even notice that something's missing. This probably represents the banking industry's latest attempt to keep the off-the-book endeavors from being put back onto the books. The new rule for this, which requires these secrets to be put onto the books would also require billions more in capital for the larger banks. You can be sure they have their checkbooks out working to change this rule before it goes into effect. If they're successful, we'll be back to "business as usual" in the banking industry, something we cannot afford. Hopefully the public will not allow this to happen. Remember that all this transformation will feed into the summer eclipses and new responses will be required all the way through the summer for any situation that fails (like Iran's election). If that new response is not forthcoming, then the Universe will respond with a tragic or violent consequence, in order to remove the blockage that prevented the new response. Watch the situation in Irael and Palestine this summer as a good guage for how well we're doing. Late in the summer, we get the third of five Saturn opposite Uranus peaks. Those are "earthquake" energies for anything that hasn't changed yet, but still needs it. Don't worry that it doesn't all get changed this summer.
