A SHIFT IN THE ENERGIES Did you notice the shift in the energies after last week's election? It seemed to be evident worldwide. The way people felt created a shift to a better future. We still have plenty of challenges ahead of us, but now people are excited to lend their energy to a positive outcome. An important shift to notice with last week's election is that the consciousness of America has changed considerably in the past 8 years. That was the real political earthquake (Saturn opposite Uranus) that we had last week. We can see this in the difference between the consciousness of President Bush and soon-to-be President Obama. Our leaders always reflect the consciousness of the American people. To make a shift like that, from Bush to Obama, means that Americans have gone through an enormous change in their consciousness. A hearty congratulations is in order! This major shift is occurring at the end of the Mayan Calendar 5th Night period, which ended officially on November 12th. Today November 13th, we start an approximately one year period known as the 6th Day. In the Mayan calendar system, day periods are more active and creative, while night periods are times of integrating the activity (much like we do in our sleep). Mayan Calendar expert, Carl Calleman, had predicted an economic downturn and turmoil during the 5th Night. The 6th Night period is the time when our efforts come to fruition or completion. In the plant world, this is when we see the blossom open and we see the results of our actions and energies. Those aren't the only shifts we're experiencing this month. As you probably remember, on November 26th (yes the day before Thanksgiving), Pluto moves back into Capricorn. This is a very significant and HUGE shift. Aside from earlier this year (Jan 25 - June 13th), Pluto was last in Capricorn between 1762–1778. This cycle is relatively rare, as cycles go. This is a shift away from unsustainable economic activities, such as more debt, or toxifying the planet and ourselves, and a move toward sustainable ones, such as creating nurturing and positive products for the Earth and ourselves. However, initially, the general tendency with Pluto in Capricorn is to see attempts to consolidate economic and political power. We are watching this in a bizarre show with the financial crisis. This shift is particularly HUGE because it has such a strong impact on the Federal Reserve's chart and the USA's chart. The Fed should be feeling pretty stretched about now and this will only intensify at the end of this month and early December. We could see a major change in the Fed's "product" (the US dollar) and/or we could see a major change in the Fed itself. (Pluto opposite the Fed's Pluto, conjunct the Fed's Sun and square the Fed's MC.) No matter what happens, the Fed cannot save all the banks and all the industries. We are now watching the auto industry beg the government for money so it can stay in business. This is particularly ironic, since the auto industry has deliberately worked for years to keep fuel-efficient cars off the market. Do you think that bailing out those companies now is going to somehow help them make better choices? It seems unlikely. American Express was made a bank this week, so it could stay in business and get financial assistance from the government. The housing industry is lobbying Congress for tax breaks and incentives, so it can stay in business. Another stimulus package is being pushed in Congress, but where will that money come from? Another loan from China or will we print some more? Where will this end? We're watching unsustainable companies and industries fall by the wayside. Even if the government tries to bail them out, it won't be enough to save them. We are literally watching the unsustainable consequences of our choices for MANY years. In the last 5 years alone, total debt in this country (for everyone: governments, businesses, consumers) has increased by $16 Trillion, to $47.9 Trillion. Of course, incomes have not gone up even remotely that much, so there is no way to maintain that level of debt. We're now in a phase of debt destruction. There are two ways this can be done. It can be wiped off the books or inflated away (so the dollars repaid aren't worth as much and buy less). Which one do you think is more likely? If you want to really understand this well, watch this short video about debt from The Crash Course at http://www.chrismartenson.com/crashcourse/chapter-12-debt Astrologically, the more likely scenario is either stagflation or hyper-inflation (Jupiter conjunct Neptune and Chiron beginning late March 2009). The last time we had these planets together in a configuration, we had stagflation. But before we get to that phase, we are going to see an even bigger financial crisis, deflation, and the Fed or the US dollar could end up being transformed. Which way will this go? As evidence of deflation, Tuesday the price of oil dropped below $60 per barrel for the first time since March 2007, but it won't be the low. Oil is expected to continue falling due to the falling economies worldwide. Remember that Lindsay Williams said that "when the price of oil falls to $50 per barrel, the dollar will crash within 2-3 weeks" (probably to nothing or close to it). This point is getting a lot closer. We might make it through the holidays before the dollar crashes, since the Jupiter trine to Saturn, which is helpful, is still barely in range through the last day of December. And just like when you are remodeling your home and have the walls out for rewiring and replumbing, it takes time for things to look better. We need everyone to hold a vision of creating a sustainable future. It can be done and it will happen if we all stick to this vision.
